When I am back on my feet again…

When I am back on my feet again…

It has been a long time since I wrote something here, and with that said there are explanations for this, but it should not be an excuse to write, so after a conversation with a good friend to me, my friend pointed this out and proclaimed that I would share my thoughts when she thought it might be of interest.

Said and done, I’m writing now, sharing with my latest scattered thoughts. Facing different challenges and difficulties, as we all do at one point or the other, I have decided to share with you some of the platitudes out there AND what they could possible do for you, what they have meant to me, and make you motivated or even demotivated, as it also has for me.

What doesn’t brake you strengthen you.

I would like to state it is so, to a certain degree. It goes without saying that challenges and obstacles are some kind of a training in order for you to be stronger and be able to face different difficulties and obstacles better. Personally, I have gone through some truly challenging time and with that said, I would be like Superman, as many of the situations I have faced could have broken me, but I have gained strength from it instead, like Superman. However, I am not ready to fully agree on the statement, as depending on the character of the situation you face, it can become overwhelming at point, like kryptonite. But yes, what doesn’t brake you, strengthen you. Period.

The more no’s you get the closer to a yes you come.

This is so true, even though it is frustrating at times. But again, it goes without saying, that the more no’s you get, the closer to a yes you come. I have personally experienced this when I was a sales rep and had to deal with customers that wasn’t interested in the product of service I offered, and more than one said no and refused to deal with what I had to offer. But eventually I came across that one customer that said yes. I have also experienced this when I have applied for jobs, and I have applied for several, believe me. Getting that no’s suck, no question about it, but when you get the yes, the sweeter it is.  So, even at time, when you get that no you expect to be a yes, it will bring you closer to a yes. Even when it comes to love, you will finally get a YES, that special YES, that makes a difference, that makes you smile and that makes you feel that it was all worthwhile!

Never give up on your dream.

Why should you? I mean, the dream we have, or at least the dream I have, makes me going. My dreams are a part of my inner desire to achieve something bigger than what I currently have, something better than I current are used to and something more wonderful than I am sitting on. So, I urge you, even it might be hard, never ever give up on your dream. From my own personal point of view, challenges and hardships can make me want to give up on my desired dream and leave the vision occasionally, but that doesn’t mean I give it up. I will just wait for the right moment to pursue it. Because a dream given up is a dream lost. Don’t ever give up on your dream.

F.E.A.R has two meanings – Forget Everything And Run or Face Everything And Rise

You have two choices, give up and give in or face the situation and give it your best, your all. Of course, and I think I speak for more than me, we have sometimes experienced time when we just wanted to forget about everything and run away, to give in and to give up. But what I usually tell and ask myself at that time is, “what is he worst-case scenario?” and “what is the best-case scenario?”. That often helps me to face and rise on that situation instead of forget and run. It has helped me on numerous occasions, and I can only advise you to ask yourself the same thing and you might end of facing and rising. What is the worst-case scenario and what is the best-case scenario?

There is no success without hardship

How fantastic it would be if life would not have any hardships. But then again, how sweet would it be? Imagine just getting everything you want without any kind of hardship; how much would you appreciate it? Honestly? I have seen that there is a certain joy and pride you get when you overcome hardships and get that success. Sometimes you have to do something you hate in order to get what you love. I live by that sentence. I have done a lot of things I hate in order to get what I love, and when I have gotten that thing I love (success), the appreciation is so much dearer. Because I see the hardship I went through, brought me the sweetest success. So, please embrace the hardships at times and go with it. It is worth it, trust me.

Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations

It kind of goes with above mentioned, as sometimes you need to take the narrow road instead of the highway. Difficult roads have different images, it can be the difficult road to get a job, to find love or achieving your long-pursued dream of yours. I can relate to this as most of the roads I walked on, not even driven, has been bumpy and difficult. But in the end, the destination made it all worthwhile. The tarmac road is often sweet and easy to drive on, but often the destinations is quite bland. If you find that off-grid road, they lead to destinations that first of all is not common to everyone, and you are among the first to reach there, and secondly, many don’t want to travel on that road, making it a bit unique and a one of a lifetime experience. Keep going, find the difficult roads, it will for sure pay off. Big time!

Storms don’t last forever

Going through a break-up or a divorce or a situation where you might have been laid off, doesn’t mean the pain and suffer last forever. It will pass. Being married twice and divorced twice, I can truly vouch for that. Experienced a lot of storms in my life, I am now calmer and more collected when a storm comes, just because I know for a fact that is not forever. Storms are part of life, just face it. The way to handle it, according to me is I find a great relieve in faith and prayers. This is a thing I have just recently realized, and I am truly happy to have regained that faith of mine and to be able to pray and to leave it up to higher powers. This might sound bland, but for me it works, why don’t you try it as well. Try it, you might like it? It just might work and that storm of yours you are facing, might be a lot easier to handle. Guaranteed, storms don’t last forever.

So, In conclusion:

All in all, many of these so-called statements, come from someone, something and make sense to a point. I am not all over happy with some of them, as they are like a thorn in your side and keeps reminding me about my situation, that hard one that only makes me give in and give up. But a new day comes, I rise, and I can go back telling myself that this is life, this is what is served as main course. Deal with it, face it, embrace it and do something about it. There is always a tomorrow, there is always a solution and there is ALWAYS a way. I am not saying that I am right, but for me, my regained faith and me going back to praying, have helped me a lot. Remember, Matthew 7:7, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.”, and even though you at times can feel like Psalm 25:16,  ”Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. 17 The troubles of my heart are enlarged; bring me out of my distresses”, remember, there is something beautiful waiting for you around the corner, AND only for you, as well as for me of course.
